Our Scientific Contributions to the Medical Community

In response to the current high incidence of various types of cancer, in October 2006 we sponsored the visit of the eminent American oncologist Dr. Craig Howard Moskowitz to the Costa Rican Oncological Congress. This physician, with broad experience in the area of lymphomas, lectured on his valuable research and knowledge in this field and their applications, as well as on the technologies he uses to facilitate a better response to treatment and a greater quality of life for his patients. A graduate from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Moskowitz carries out his valuable service at Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Center in New York. For eleven years he has also been a professor at the School of Medicine of Cornell University in New York, and has been carrying out research in that medical specialty for more than 15 years. He has published around 130 articles in the most prestigious scientific reviews in the world, and has made his research and his valuable protocols available to global science and health. Moskowitz has received numerous international awards such as Hematology Attending Teaching Award (2003 and 2004), ASCO Merit Award for Outstanding Abstract (ICEMAN trial) (1995), and New York State Society of Medical Oncologists and Hematologists Award (1994), among others. He is a member of several American and European medical organizations. It was an honor for Laboratorios Stein for him to accept our invitation and to share with us his valuable contributions and medical experiences.
