According to Dr. Isaac Waserstein, Stein’s president, “we feel proud of our friendship with Dr. Chang, who has been a visionary servant of Puntarenas’ people and a great ally of our laboratory, and who has also supported the lines of products we develop.”

In order to reinforce key concepts to chiefs and managers at Stein, the known expositor of “Enfoque a la Familia”, Mr. Sixto Porras, offered a speech about the emotional intelligence at work.

According to Porras, intelligence is the aptitude that allows us to collect information from our interior and our surroundings, with the objective of responding with the most suitable answer to the demands raised by our daily living.

He explained that it is the capacity of understanding emotions and lead them and use them to guide our conduct and our thinking processes to achieve better results.

The emotional intelligence is put in evidence when a person demonstrates an ability to understand inner feelings, to dominate them, to feel empathy for the feelings of the others, and to have the social skills to apply it effectively to improve quality of life.
